Welcome to Ritz Camera University!
All class location's schedules are available under the
Obtaining Class Schedules
[Class Schedules] tab at the top of this page.
They are categorized first by State then City.(Some cities have multiple locations. Scroll down the schedule's PDF to reveal other locations in the city.) Once you find the most convenient class location, simply call or visit that store to make a reservation. Each class location handles their own registration. (Most locations require reservations because seating is limited.) There is no online registration.
The Class Programs
Ritz Camera University classes are divided into a four-class “Essentials” course (Four classes taken in sequence)and five “Elective” classes designed to expand your photographic knowledge.
The Essentials course is designed to help you:
1. Become more confident with general camera operation and have a sound working knowledge of the digital image.
2. Take better pictures! Avoid common mistakes and use proven picture taking techniques.
3. Understand the fundamental principles photography to get out of automatic, get creative, and fully utilize the capabilities of your equipment.
4. Then finally, how to become successful in organizing, preserving, presenting, and sharing your life’s memories.
The Electives classes are more specific to digital and photographic knowledge.
A class on "Getting Started" for new DSLR owners (Or, those interested in considering this option.)How to achieve instant success with a DSLR and an overview of the advanced photographic possibilities with the most versatile digital camera you can own.
A class on how an understanding of light, both natural and artificial, can improve the quality of your images.
A class to better understand the differences in the vast selection of lenses available for DSLRs
A class which is a general overview of controlled lighting products with tips and techniques on usage.
A class on how to improve all types of photography using photographic filters.

Some General Guidelines
Tickets are required for all classes (One ticket per person.) Please bring your entire ticket package to class. (Please do not tear individual tickets from the package.) Whether you have ticket package that was included with your camera purchase or you have purchased an individual ticket package; Tickets never expire and can be used at any class location in the country.
We recommend you bring your camera with a fully charged battery and its user guide. We also recommend bring a pen/pencil and paper to take notes.
